Heck, nobody’s put in a race report yet! So… Seven Carnethies ran up Criffel, and back down again, on Sunday. It was really, really muddy. Five of the seven came back with a prize – Charlotte Morgan was first lady, I was third lady and first FV40, the Gilmore youngsters were 2nd and 3rd (Andrew then Iain), the Gilmore erm… oldster (Neil) was first FV50. John Hammond was 8th, Adam Anderson 11th. The race was won by Al Anthony, ahead of 58 other runners. It was very well organised and marshalled, with 100% kit-check coverage. Runners were given the option of carrying a flower to leave at the summit cairn in memory of Elsie Baxter, who used to marshall the race, and I think most of us did.
