||Sitting in the empty car park at KB at 18.59 with not a person in sight I was wondering if I was the only person in Carnethy not out Christmas Shopping, or sitting in nice warm pub drinking some festive cheer, Surely somebody else will turn up for a run? At 19.01 I decided that would be it, and contemplated just running to The Stable Bar for some festive ale, but instead headed for a Blackford/Craiglockarts/Braid Hills circuit. At the top of Blackford I spied a runner with headtorch, could it be another Carnethy? It turned out to be Nigel, who having arrived at KB and seen no-one else had headed off too. So the FastSocialSlow group doubled in size to 2. We ran down towards the Hermitage (new coffee shop apparently) and then up to Easter Craiglockart and then a loop around Wester Craiglockart before heading across to Braid Hill. The view across the city was great with the castle lit up in festive red. A cold wind hurried us back across towards Blackford Hill and then to KB. 8.3 miles in 90 minutes. Definitely better than 90 minutes Christmas shopping. Merry Christmas everyone and I hope Santa brings you lots of new running gear.
