||After Gordon setting off for the Pentlands to the dismay of a couple of his followers, I waited to see who would be up for the easy run.
By 7:30 we had 4 , We set off at an unusually fast pace for the easy run up Observatory road, and I tried unsuccessfully to show Karin a new Blackford Path on the way to the duckpond and up through Midmar Meadow. With a quick burn crossing by the bridge as Bill’s stepping stones were missing, we climbed the muddy path and along the south side of the hermitage.
Through the petrol station, missing out on the ice cream buying and into Braidburn Park. Then returning on the north side to summit Blackford before heading for home. 5.3 miles in 72 minutes.
Driving home I spied a smaller number of 7pm runners heading up past the (now defunct) Braidburn Inn.
