It was time to make use of the dark nights. The Starter was a dash across KB and onto Craigmillar Park, with Birthday Girl, Sandra sporting her new head torch. A duck under the barbed wire, just missing the dog poo bag, and we were on Blackford Glen Road. A wee run up Liberton Brae and dive through a hedge saw us running up to Liberton Tower. The Main was Braids Golf course, we turned off our head torches to enjoy the bright night. we ran a fair way with out the torches. In fact we ran across 4 fairways. The next obstacle was the wall. With a bit of a push and shove we all made it to Dessert: Mortonhall Golf Course and we had a lovely run to the Masts and with a dash through the wall again, the surprised group were at the trig point on Braids. Obviously we had not had enough of the main so we had a run along the gorse edge and crossed the 1st tee and ran along the bridle path to the Cheese and Biscuits of the braids Junior golf course then a fence bramble cling saw us back on The espresso of Craigmillar Park and into KB for a 4.4 mile run in 68 minutes. |
