If you like your mountain biking long and hard, then this is for you. Perhaps I should have thought about that before entering, because I conked out after 3 laps, had a sleep then managed another two. Yes, the only event to date where I’ve managed to sleep mid-way. Each lap was just over 10 miles and 1,400 feet, with the joys of the blue and red trails on descent at Nevis Range.
Bob J has suggested doing this as a pair next year, which sounds like a very good idea. Perhaps I can have several sleeps then.
