Congratulations to Cameron with the win, and a hand for Dessie with the fastest time.
Cameron reported “Mike was running well and pushed me along, which helped, although taking the old line up Whin certainly didn’t – basically the path no longer exists so I was crawling on my hands and knees under the brambles/gorse! Plenty of blood/scratches which rattled the tourists and made them jump out of my way”
Big welcome to Fraser and Eric who put down impressive markers.
Fraser enthused “Crackin run today.. we set off not too far either side of Mike Jones. I thought I might be able to catch Mike if he got lost in the fog, but it wasn’t to be. I managed to hold off the attack from Mike Andrew (who made the wrong descent off Crow)…however Dessie passed me so fast at the top of AS, he didn’t even see me.”
Jamie noted “Maybe we should challenge Brian to do the Arthur’s seat handicap one month in his bare feet, or maybe we should all try it in bare feet, times might be a bit slower!!
There was a primary school party getting briefed by a park ranger on the top of Haggis Knowe when I ran past them and then scrambled down the wee crag – wasn’t sure I was setting a good example!!”
Welcome back Mike Andrew and thanks for the picture
See you Monday 2 July
