The race was even lower key this year if that’s possible. Gone was the wee marquee. No nibbles of any sort and a confused prize giving. A packet or two of biscuits wouldn’t have gone amiss. The race was won by visiting stars Colin Donnelly (in a new record time), and in 3rd Brian Marshall (a 2 times winner of this race). In fact their second visit, having turned up last week by mistake. Can we give them the wooden spoon?
As I said last year “What this… race lacked in runners it more than made up for in marshals. You couldn’t get lost if you tried”. Which is good. Having said that, the junior race is well attended. And we didn’t get soaked, which was also good, and was very possible with passing showers. Results
