The Carnethy Vest
The one essential item of kit! – available from Run & Become at £19.
Also gives you free entry to most Carnethy organised races
There is a ladies version of the vest with higher cut arm & neck (modelled by Jasmin)

A 2nd order of these t-shirts will be placed at the beginning of November with additional option of long sleeve. The is also a unisex sleeveless one for those that don’t feel the cold or want to be ready for Summer!
The material is polyester but looks and feels a bit more like cotton, so this will be equally at home on a run as it is in the pub, or a run to the pub. You can see more details at the links below.
The t-shirts are quite well fitted so if you’re between sizes or prefer a looser fit then go up a size.

So, how do you get one of these for your noggin?
Step 1: Measure your head. They are made to order.
A headband version is also possible with 5 row high capital letters on 7 rows of yellow and 2 rows of red either side. Or the inverse.

Items that can be borrowed
If you want to borrow any of the items below please get in touch with the named contact.
Carnethy flags – The club has three Feather Flags, which Andy Spenceley looks after. Contact him to book them. Make sure you return then after use.
Club Tent – Andy Spenceley (can be used to store kit at races; as a club base at events such as FRA Relays; for shelter or even for runners to run through while sheltering finish officals etc). Must be returned to Andy after use and you must follow instructions for pitching the tent (it has been damaged in the past by people not pitching or dismantling it correctly).
Race printer timers – Shane Bouchier (as used for Carnethy 5 timing. Available to other race organisers)
Portable bothy bags – Willie Gibson (great for lunch stops on cold hills !)
OS maps – Nick MacDonald (the club has as selection of mainly Scottish maps, contact Nick for details)
Walkie-talkies – Nick MacDonald (useful for line of sight communication in races)
