The traditional 12 km midsummer beach, boulder, seaweed, crag hopping and gulf leaping event. State of tide to be announced. Be at the car park by 1900 and meet at the beach (10 mins walk) for first away at 19:00 hrs. Bring change of clothes, musical instruments, food and drink to the beach with you for the barbecue. Midge defences might be useful. In the rare event of bad weather the barbecue will be at 21 the Dean, East Linton, 10 mins drive from the car park and opposite the National Trust Preston Mill site. To get to the beach, follow the A1 from Edinburgh beyond East Linton and take the A198 towards North Berwick. Drive through Tyninghame and take the right turn after another half mile.
