Kate’s last Corbett On Sunday 22nd May, eleven of us headed up Beinn
Dearg in Torridon to complete my last Corbett.
It’s
dry in the car park
Nine of us had raced
Slioch the day before and we hoped for beautiful
views and kind weather. It was not to be…I’ve
never climbed a hill in such strong winds.
At one point we did wonder about going on but
once on the ridge we found some shelter before
we hit the summit.
Unfortunately,
it was too windy to open the bottle of champagne
at the top, but we did manage to scoff Jasmin’s
box of chocolates from her success at Slioch.
Thanks to everyone who joined me. Hope your
jackets have dried out. KATE x
Helen and Joanne wishing they were back doing
the SIPR!
At the summit:
Helen, Jasmin, Joan, Iain, Kate, Joanne,
Colin, Andy, Jane, Konrad (Des took the photo)
