David Shepherd Memorial Glamaig Hill Race
2008

Almost the whole race can be observed from the start at Sligachan

The pack cross the old road bridge at the Sligachan Hotel

Part of Cuillin Ridge from the bottom of Glamaig - L to R, Sgurr nan Gillean, Am Basteir (+ Tooth) and Bruach na Frithe

The first runners to appear over the crest are Brian Marshall (HELP) and Alec Keith (HBT). Note: - the slope has flattened out here.

Brian is going to win his 6th Glamaig race!

Kenny Riddell (Highland HH) trying to keep Alec Keith in his sight

Alan Smith (Deeside) being closely followed

"I've got Ronnie Gallagher in my sight"

From the top you can see the ferry leaving for the Isle of Raasay

It's all downhill now. You'll either love the scree or hate it!

Steven Fallon was 4th and the next day he led us up Sgurr nan Gillean, on our last Munro

Anyone like a jelly baby? Lois Noble (1st Lady) keeps her head down.

The Cuillins backdrop is just amazing

It was a hot day!
