Unfortunately,
storm
force winds on the west coast of Scotland caused the
race to be abandoned after the run up Ben More on Mull. The transfer
of runners to and from the land proved extremely tricky. Even putting
up the marshal's tent was out of the question! The checkpoint on top
of Ben More got blown away and Memec's runners ended up in the Sound
of Mull. Jill Mykura (Aberzen) got back to Oban in time to get to Arran
and the Scottish Championship race on Goatfell - but rough seas prevented
her disembarking! It was a memorable weekend...
