Kings Buildings 5 and 10 mile Road Race
27th February 2005

Sheep shelter on the lee side of Caerketton on Saturday - so it's time to try a city road race

The KB races have some 'hills'. The first runners climb past the allotments

The 10-milers started behind the 5-milers so the 10-mile winner (in red) is quite far back

Runners can outpace cyclists uphill. Mark races a cyclist.

Mark Johnston finished 7th

The '5-mile leader'

Arthur's Seat still has a few patches of snow

Fancy footwork!

Jill Mykura on lap one

Paul Ritchie keeps pace with the eventual ladies winner

Jill Mykura turns the corner at the end of Braid Road

It's downhill for the next half mile

Kings Buildings and the castle are in sight

..as is Arthur's Seat, but there's a killer hill to come

Phil Mowbray puts everything into the last sprint

The lady's winner

The 2nd lady tries to 'pick off' another man before the finish

Jill finishing with a smile

The Third Man!
