20th David Shepherd Memorial Glamaig Hill Race
4.5 miles, 2400 feet

Although the British Championship Angus Munro Race was on the same day, we still managed a field of 68 runners.
The weather was fair with a little mist on the tops, but it started to drizzle as the runners set off. Brian Marshall maintained his record winning his 5th Glamaig Race iin a row.
The ladies race was won by Lyndsey Shaw of Lochaber.
Carnethy silver wedding runners (Colin and Joan Wilson) were out again ticking their 19th hill race this year, and it is paying dividends as Joan was 3rd Lady and first Lady vet.
Steven Fallon was co-organising the race and also managed to come in 3rd, one place better than last year.
Many Thanks to The Sligachan Hotel for their support, including a free pint meal and Ceilidh for the £3 entry fee.
The last two runners were Thomas and Rae Chalmers from Maine Track Club in America, they are on their honeymoon and had seen the race advertised on the web. They were a little surprised by the terrain and the height of the hill (they thought that the map was in feet rather than metres) but they still had a great time.
