European Cross Country Championships
Edinburgh 14th December 2003

Thousands of folk came out to watch another running legend, Paula Radcliffe, win gold in the main event of the day in Holyrood Park. She had a battle on her hands with the Turkish Ethiopian Abeylegesse hanging on until Paula got a decisive winning gap on the slopes of Haggis Knowe on the last lap.
Both the Senior and Junior Women won team gold to cap a great day of athletics.
