On Monday evening nine Carnethy Ladies (and Bill) went for a run from Margaret’s house in Colinton. We ran down to the Village, through Spylaw Park and along the Water of Leith to Woodhall Farm. From there we followed the Edinburgh Circa route to Tiphereth and over Torphin Golf Course to Torduff Reservoir and Bonaly. We saw the new road which has appeared in the last few days and marks access to the old Army Polofield where more than 50 houses are soon to be built. Finally, we squelched our way along the muddy paths of the Covenanters Wood and saw one of the (almost completely filled in) World War I trenches, before arriving at the back gate to Margaret’s garden. Many thanks to everyone who came along.
