Nearly 150 folk turned up for the first-ever parkrun in Peebles – including, I noticed, three local politicians (two Councillors and an MSP). The weather was kind to us: windy but dry and almost uncomfortably mild.
The course was three not-quite-identical laps of Hay Lodge Park, a bit more up-and-down than the other parkruns I’ve tried. Adding in the Tweed sweeping by, some fine autumnal colours and a wandering dog snapping at passing heels made for an enjoyable outing.
Konrad Rawlik was the first to finish, with Jasmin Paris second woman (or third, if including whoever was in her pushchair!).
