Wednesday fast run 7miles, 1,576ft ascent/descent
With the Neverendum looming we decided on a visit to Holyrood via Arthur’s Seat.
We headed out towards the Innocent Railway via Prestonfield to find the Yescopter parked(?) on the lawn guarded by some very fit looking security guards in shorts.
A quick run across the golf course avoided some guys playing a fourball, and over the wall to the Innocent Railway. We tried to find a direct route to Queens Drive, but just ended up getting stung and pricked.
A scramble up Arthurs Seat led to a misty uncertain descent into an abyss. Onto Holyrood and past the media circus camped outside, we asked 2 bored looking police officers if they knew when the referendum was (apparently its the 18th September). We charged up the Radical Road, squeezed through the gate and powered back to KB for the Alt C5 prize giving.
