It was lovely yet windy day for a race in the quaint East Lothian village of Oldhamstocks. I haven’t run a race in over a year, and for some reason I was feeling quite nervous. Odd to feel nervous about a 4 mile race with 200 m of climb. Also odd to feel nervous about racing because I do it for fun and have never come close to the front of the pack. Although I must say I was closer to the front in 2014 due to the smaller field. There were a number of Carnethies at the start (6 in regulation vests, 1 retro vest, and at least 2 spotted without). The club fared well in the prize giving with John Viv Busby first, Jill Mykura first female (and fourth overall) and Keith Burns getting a bottle of wine for being the oldest finisher. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the old Kirk for everyone else. Results (pdf)
