Sprints were a bit of a misnomer for the ‘Golf Course Sprints’ 7.30 group starting at hole 10, or ‘the gherkin’, but we somehow held off the 7pm group doing the whole round until the last hole in an increasing ‘damp’ outing. With headtorches on the rain appeared oddly like snow, a cruel harbinger of things to come, but lying green on the ground. We got back to KB before the deafening and incomprehensible ‘we are about to throw you out the showers’ announcements on the PA. Which was nice.
