A motley crew of 32 & Amber turned out for the Halloween run, the first Night Run of the year, looking like ghouls, witches and the living dead. Others opted for fancy dress. From Hillend, we contoured around to Boghall, passing some headstones along the way. Lights out in the souterrain at Castlelaw highlighted just how much we fluoresced. On a clear night, the fort also proved a great vantage point for the pyrotechnics of Penicuik. Similarly, fireworks across the Forth were enjoyed from Allermuir, before a hasty return to the Steading for a headcount (still 32 & Amber), food, banter and the opportunity to find out who had been running.
