Fast group in red, slow group in black
The pioggia wasn’t so bad as we met at KB. The acquazzone had eased enough to make me think that Allermuir summit might be OK.
Irene collected the kit to take to “”Cibo” and then we headed off.
Three fasties headed for Blackford summit as the rest of us skirted round and through the Hermitage and on into Braidburn Park. The pioggia had eased and was less torrenziale as we crossed Frogstone Road and my phone rang. It was “Cibo”, “I am just checking that you are still coming as it is so wet!”. “Carnethies never give up” I replied. “see you in a hour”.
Once again the fasties (and Bob Lyons) headed off to add an extra hill (Caerketton) as the rest of us climbed Allermuir in the nebbia and through the fango.
The short runners had met at Moira’s house and headed for Allermuir, Cali called from the summit “We are heading down, you can catch us up”.
We chased them down to the broken sink and on to Woodhouselee, Easter Howgate, Bush Estate and reached Cibo at 8:52. Only 7 minutes late.
After a swift change the 19 of us (Diggers, Paul, and new member Alan left for home) headed in for food and refreshment.
Thanks to Cibo for coping with corridori inzuppate, and feeding us well and thanks to Nick and Irene Schierloh for doing the kit carrying.
