Varying from downpour to steady rain this was a very wet race indeed. The tracks were rivers, the trods were ponds. It would have been muddy too but I think that was all washed away. Still, it wasn’t cold, and as there wasn’t a hope of keeping dry it was quite fun to splosh around. Couldn’t really take photos though.
This year the race was the 3rd in a Borders mini series, the other races being the Meigle Hill Mile on Friday and the Cademuir Rollercoaster on Saturday. I don’t know the first, but Cademuir is a nice wee race, and stayed dry though massive thunder clouds rolled its way.
Well done Alex McVey who came third, closely followed by Jonny Muir in 4th. And well done to all the marshals who ensured it was impossible to get lost. Results.
