John Hammond led from the start with a excellent display on Saturday’s “Path of Condie” half marathon.
He crushed the opposition and took nearly a minute off Colin Somerville’s previous CR at the rural Kinross Half.
The misty road route has a 1,400ft climb as it winds its way west from Milnathort with excellent views of Loch Leven on the descent.
Alan Risk was the other redshirt who enjoyed the run and was 30th with 1:41:59.
A delighted John said,
“It’s very much a hill runners road race! Far more climb than I was expecting.”
Well done John!
