We made a temporary switch to the roads last the weekend to take part in the Inverness 1/2 Marathon, before the spring hill racing starts in earnest. Despite the strong winds the day before (Helen fearing a repeat of Jedburgh 1/2 into gale force wind) and the River Ness being at a record high level, calm and sunny conditions prevailed on the day, and a good race was enjoyed on the well established 1/2 marathon course. The race was won by Tewolde Mengisteab from Shettleston in 1:06, and Shona McIntosh (HBT) was first lady in 1:16. Andy finished 9th in 1:13 and myself 5th in 1:23. Thanks to Iain for the support on the course!
