Matt was the main speaker in the first of this year’s Winter Talks Series
Shortly after my Winter Talk about my adventure on the Scottish National Trail, I got to see my film Dawn till Dusk on the big screen. It was screening at the awards night for the Fort William Mountain Festival, as I was lucky enough to win the John Muir Trust Wild Places Film Prize.
It was amazing to share the experience with a really engaged live audience, and the whole thing went to the next level when I found out they’d voted my film as the winner of the People’s Choice Award, from a high quality selection of international films. It’s amazing to see people engaging with the story and Scotland’s wild places in this way – definitely the highlight of my amateur running and filmmaking career thus far!
