The best of Scottish low key hill racing in this 4.55 mile lung busting, lactic acid inducing, all out sprint up a fairly low hill. A record turnout this year with 185 entries. Unfortunately for me this included all the top category runners. The Stewart Whitlie equivalents; ie runners who win whatever category they are in. So no repeat of last year’s V60 win for me. Nowhere near – even if I hadn’t run 2.5 min slower than last year. But it was a great outing in lovely spring sunshine. And for a remarkably modest outlay there are full category prizes and a high cake quotient.
7 Carnethys were in attendance – the 6 in the photo plus Jim McW. But he wasn’t sporting the vest. No ladies which is a great shame, and no juniors for the junior race – equally lamentable. Look out for it next year and come along! Results here
