It was a classic XC and Stirling reminded us we were in Scotland with the cold and the rain. Team tents were blowing over and we were muddy before we even started running. The course involved 3 laps, for both male and female, of some undulating terrain. At least that meant we got to see the view of the snowy Ochills 3 times, as we pushed through the mud of the middle section of the course. It was just as fun as it sounds. The Girls team really enjoyed it, formed by Catriona, Kirsty, Pippa and myself. As did most of the Carnethy men’s team, who seemed to fly around with Sasha, Eoin, Ali, Finn and Eliot. Overall, a good day was had by everyone running around in circles and we left in the 3:30pm dusk in good team spirits.
