I ran in the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday and spotted at least 2 other Carnethies, one of whom was sporting a onesie at the finish which would have been nice and cosy in the chilly wind. The weather wasn’t as dreadful as forecast but there was pretty strong headwind on the return stretch making life difficult. I was aiming to get under 4 hours so was happy to have trundled my way round in 3.57. I think the other two Carnethies were considerably faster. I probably baffled a few Serpentine runners by bawling “Carnethy” at them – very similar running vests if you don’t have your reading specs on!
