A dozen souls braved the waters of Torduff Reservoir today for the annual Solstice swim. Temperature = chilly. The red and yellow Carnethy swim caps were in evidence thereby doing some local advertising to the bewildered audience of walkers and cyclists. Once the shivering subsided, I think we all agreed it was ‘fun’.
And for those feeling down about the lack of day in Edinburgh (typically 6hrs 57min on the Winter Solstice), if you lived in Murmansk you would have a day lasting, wait for it, 0hrs, 0 min.
Happy Christmas to you all.
