The Pentland Skyline Race is now open for entry – all the details are on the race page This is one of the premier races in the Scottish Hill running calendar, in one of the easiest to access locations. There aren’t many races where you start within earshot of one of Edinburghs busiest roads, and cross isolated hill and bog which feels (and is) miles from anywhere.
Don’t hang around getting your entry, the race has always filled in recent years. So don’t leave it until the last minute.
It’s a similar plan to previous years, and unless it rains constantly for the next month the course should be pretty fast. We are planning to have Top Out Brewery at the finish line again for all your post race beer needs.
This year we are trialing an optional one hour early start for those FV50 or MV60, and above, who have previously completed the race. This is to ease ‘cut off anxiety’ amongst the more experienced but slower runners.
Carnethies should look at their email for details on how club members can enter. We will also be looking for lots of volunteers for the day, so if you can’t or won’t run, then please consider helping out. There will be Hills and Haribo.
