Carnethy women had a great result at the National X-C Champs at Callendar Park, Falkirk on Saturday as they finished 3rd team out of 22 clubs, taking the bronze medals behind Shettleston and Edinburgh AC. First counter for the club was Naomi Lang in a superb 6th place, followed closely by Kirsty Dickson (11th). Rachel Normand (49th), Heidi Ross (62nd), Laura Barraclough (72nd) and Kirsty McBirnie (93rd) were the other counters, backed up by Anna Steen (132nd).
The Men couldn’t quite match that but finished an excellent 6th team out of 42 ! Club Captain, Sasha Chepelin, led home the team with an excellent 15th place (672 finished). The other counters were Felix Wilson (40th), Finn Lydon (45th), Tim Morgan (75th), Jack McKenna (110) and Iain Whiteside (117th).
