After a COVID holiday, the Hunters Bog Trot was back to its usual April date, but on a new course that included Whinny Hill before heading through Hunters Bog to the Crags. Held In glorious sunshine and dry ground, the conditions were fast and Sasha Chepelin made the most of it in winning by a large margin, setting a time of just over 23 mins, a time that will be hard to beat, In a brilliant second place was Club Captain, Ali Masson, who just held off HBT Tom Martin. Eóin Lennon was fourth, with Finn Lydon not far behind to be 4th Carnethy counter and so the club easily took the team prize. There were a lot of Carnethies running and it wasn’t just the “younger” ones, as at the other end of the age spectrum, Brian Howie was first Over 70.
