Carnethy fielded 5 teams yesterday as Keswick AC played host to the 2023 British Fell Relay Champs, in Braithwaite. Race routes were focused around the hills of Stile, Outerside and Barrow, and the trods and old mining tracks linking them. There were many fine individual/paired performances on the day, the stand out being Holly & Naomi’s fastest time on Leg 2 by 2 minutes. Our best team result came from the MV40 team who were just pipped for the win in the final metres of the last descent, losing out to Ambleside by 8 secs. The WSen team just missed out on the podium, finishing 4th. Excellently organised with 4 tough, enjoyable legs of running, thanks go to Keswick for hosting!
