A fine dozen mix of regulars and new faces were signed in by our Covid Coordinator. Joanne Thin almost fell foul of the regs until it was established she’d signed up under a new identity: Joanne Boyle. We took a little-known scrambly route up the north-west side of Arthur’s Seat with massive steps for those with shorter legs. This sharp start got everyone warmed up. We then took in Crow Hill, headed down to the road, and then back up to one of the Whinny tops. Head torches were turned on as we wound our way down Whinny Hill back to the road, down to the Loch and then up through the middle of Hunter’s Bog welcoming the darker evenings with a great line of socially-distanced lights. It felt great to be back to a social run like this, and it’s definitely good to get into this Wednesday evening habit as we head into a Covid winter. Wednesday Social Runs are a great way for new members to get to know people. Head torches essential and grippy shoes strongly advised as we head into the darker and wetter months. Sign up here.
