A message from Mike Andrew on a glorious Sunday morning led to an unplanned trip to Selkirk for this wee low key race, or Valentine walk, organised by Sheila Cochrane..
About 30-40 runners assembled at the cricket club with three Carnethy vests visible with Gordon Eadie and I having done the C5 yesterday. Walkers set off an hour earlier to be caught at the end. The winner did the runnable, well sign posted, if sometimes boggy, 9.6km route in 50 mins with Mike 5th in 54 mins and me 9th, sneaking in just under the hour, ahead of the first lady (for a change).
