An impressive win for Eóin Lennon on his 7 hills debut Sunday. Eóin joins a select group of Carnethys to win this race since its inception in the 1980s. A few of previous winners were spotted out supporting. All previous race winners can be found here: http://www.seven-hills.org.uk/winners.asp.
Race conditions were near perfect this year. All the critical time saving short-cuts were open. The north descent to Blackford Pond proving a favoured route for the lead runners. Through Pollock Halls also a popular choice, if you can work the gate that is, else it’s a climb over the wall.
First Carnethy lady home was Dani Lachowicz, 4th on debut. With a few course teething problems Dani has promised to go faster in 2023! Andy Macrae won the M50 category for the 3rd year in a row, with a PB and going under the elusive sub 1hr 50min.
Well done all race and challenge competitors, hopefully many managed a PB. Thanks to Alan Lawson and the team for another brilliantly organised race.
