Despite the rain coming down in stair rods the people of East Linton stoically shivered under umbrellas, whilst chomping ice creams and drinking cold beer, to celebrate their gala day. A modest, but high calibre, field of hardy runners showed their solidarity by lining up in good humour at the start of the 2019 Traprain Law Hill Race. The run was 6.5 miles and 710 feet climb of wet (rain plus River Tyne crossing), muddy, hilly, slippy, fast, challenging fun. Huge thank you to Carnethy team, lead by Jim H, who set up in unrelenting heavy rain, cleared away and marshalled the course. Congratulations to all the prize winners.
