Carnethy did rather well in this years National Cross-Country Champs, held at Callendar Park, Falkirk. A large turnout of 23 from the club ran in the Senior Men’s race and 8 in the Senior Women’s race. The men, led home by the superb 8th place of Eddie Narbett, finished 3rd in the team competition to take the bronze medals. Not bad considering all the top cross-country clubs were taking part! The women almost managed an identical feat but were just pipped by Shettleston, so had to settle for 4th. They were led home by Hollie Hindley in 18th place (another good run from her after winning the Borders Cross-country series last weekend). Full results are here.
