There’s been a long hiatus in Carnethy Junior runs due to Extremely Complex Technical Issues with my phone (I couldn’t transfer the photos onto my computer). However, I asked my Systems Administrator (Matt), and by deploying the latest technology (a USB cable), I am now back in the web report hot seat. You may breathe a collective sigh of relief, my pretties.
We’ve had a good turn out at Juniors most weeks for the last few months, and have enjoyed mostly decent weather.
It’s been blowy on Crow(y) Hill
We’ve crushed the Congrie Conga (belated thanks to Martin Hyman for being a superlatively awesome organiser).
We had an eggcellent Easter Hunt.
And we…ah…um…I’ve run out of lame puns. This is us on Arthur’s Seat.
This morning we had a pre-run excursion to the Secret Herb Garden with Al and his clan, where we were given a talk about wild plants that have medicinal properties. Did you know that plantain leaves can be used to soothe sore feet? And yarrow can help staunch wounds? Sadly we couldn’t stay for the nettle tea, as we had a rendezvous at Hillend for Juniors proper.
We blasted up Caerketton (no performance enhancing herbs were used) to play heathery tig. I amused myself with slow-mo-ing the tiggers. Please imagine your own David Attenborough commentaries.
