As we are into the longest days of summer I thought it would be nice to stretch the usual 7 mile run a bit. 11 of us set out to splosh our way up to Liberton Tower. After a little loop round Mount Hooly we went to see some nice horses at a stables before being sent away. As the Pentlands were shrouded in mist, we could see an alternative goal of the petrol station at Hillend. Having got that close to the Pentlands there was consensus to continue to the ski slope, which was a little struggle for newcomer Steve and me with a failing ham-string. We stopped at the ski slope to admire the potential for a view on a clear day. With time and distance ticking by we headed down to Swanston. A quick visit to the car wash on Comiston Road allowed us to climb over the only wall of the evening. No nettles this week, and back to nearer 7 miles next week,
