With most of Carnethy having raced in the Carnethy 5 the day before it’s not surprising no-one else came today (excepting one of the Kips marshals, but I’m not sure she is a Carnethy). Pity, as this is a very agreeable low key fun race (or walk option) in the Selkirk/3 Brethren area, with an eclectic range of Valentine themed prizes and an eclectic set of categories, including couples, families and kids. Nice soup, tea and biccies to follow, and we managed to dodge the snow showers evident in the distance. In fact the coating of snow on Foulshiels transformed the stoney path into a fast and runnable one, though it was a bit gloopy on the way up. Around 10k and not a huge amount of ascent. Very runnable and very enjoyable. Over £500 raised for various charities. Details over on https://www.facebook.com/SelkirkFundRunners/
