I had a great day of running at the Trail Outlaws St Cuthberts Way Ultra on Saturday finishing the 100km (actually 107km!) route in first place with a time of 11:08:23. It’s a fantastic trail crossing through the Northumberland National Park, Cheviot Hills and Eildons with some challenging terrain and great scenery.
Ross Christie
This brilliant run by Ross was also a new record for the St Cuthbert’s Way, breaking Hilary Spenceley’s record of 12hrs 2mins, set almost exactly 15 years ago in July 2000. But interestingly, Ross was the only person in the race who broke the old record, so Hilary can still claim second fastest time and the female record. For those interested, her report of her record breaking run is here (which includes a link to her schedule).
