It was the 60th Anniversary of the Gala Harriers Eildon race on Saturday. It was also the 3rd of the 5 Scottish Hill Runners (SHR) Championship races, which increases the competition.

The course is 7.2km and a total climb of 480m. 151 runners this year. Carnethy had good results.
Sophie Horrocks finished 2nd female, only 29 seconds behind the winner from Fife Athletic Club.
Michael Reid finished 1st in the v40 category. M40 is proving to a very strong category for Carnethy this year.
Michael says: “I finally proved the tactic of go out hard and hanging on does work”.
Andy Macrae finished 1st v50 category. It’s mandatory that Andy proves his age at every race otherwise no one believes him.
