Neolithic Nikki invoked the spirits (liquid and temporal) and Megalithic Mike the Solstice Specialist welcomed the sun, which rose at 8.42am though a rosy glow was all we saw. After excellent mulled wine we descended Allermuir and took the path which contours around the base of Capelaw which we ascended by a variety of routes. We pondered the mystery of the fleecy boots on the top – some relic of Bob Johnson? – and continued back over Allermuir, with folk peeling off to various destinations. Lovely morning and a fine run.
