It was an 8am Sunday start from The Steading for the four of us, plus Vizsla. Grid references prepared, armed with maps and compasses we started our watches and set off on the Carnethy mini mountain short course route. The conditions made it feel like a mini adventure and the icy wind was forgotten on the sheltered slopes when the snow reflected the sun into our faces warming us again. 2 hrs 15min later and 7.27 miles run, we were back at The Steading after visiting all of the check points (photos show evidence!). I am happy to have been out with friends who can navigate so well! Thank you, John Busby for initiating and setting up such a fun event. We didn’t come across any other check point searching Carnethys but did see footprints in the snow from time to time so we knew others had been out yesterday enjoying the course too.
