Congratulations to Kai with the most improved and fastest time especially in those fearsome conditions on Monday 4th Nov.
“The forecast was grim, the running was actually much better than expected. Still I managed to take a few wrong turns on Whinnie and run straight into a dead-end in the bushes. A manic descent down Whinnie was needed to get under 30 min: 29:48 was my final time. See you next time! Kai”
Everyone mentioned the mud but at least it keeps the tourist count down and so most, like Peter, were being “Very cautious”.
Anthony got a solid 32 mins and reported having “Good fun”
Thanks to Fraser for the squelchfie. He says “conditions were ‘sub optimal’ …but at least it was nice and quiet!”
Thanks to Claire for the finisher photos. “I started and finished earlier than I was supposed to [this is allowed, NM] as I had to answer the lure of the conference meeting,”
A big welcome to Neil Thomas whose “Route through Whinney hill and Haggis Knowe was far from optimal!”.
Finding that optimal route is what makes this race really addictive – let me know if you find it.
Hopefully see you next week for battle of the blue Neil.
Next race Mon Dec 2nd:-) and don’t forget to come and have wee drink at Holyrood 9A afterwards…
