On Saturday my sister, Linda and I had great fun running in the Beachy Head Marathon in fantastic weather. Amazingly the wind changed direction during the day, and so by the time we were heading over the Seven Sisters, we had a westerly breeze helping us along. This was my 11th attempt at the Beachy Head and so far, it’s my favourite marathon, especially on a day like Saturday with wonderful views over the South Downs and across the sea to France.
A couple of days before the race we attended the National Honey Show at Sandown Race Course in Esher and (amazingly!) I managed to win first prize in one of the classes for my square section of heather honey. A super weekend away.
