It’s amazing how much faster you can run the mile or so along the road when you’re 20 minutes slower than last year. The weather was great and so were views coming back down. I’ve no idea how everybody else did as they’d all disappeared by the time I finished. Still too many rocks at the top, Lochaber really need to get up there with a broom and tidy up the top 700m or so. Pictures from Charlie who was all over the mountain as usual, ordering us to ‘Move Up’. I did as I was told.
Finlay Wild won in 1:34:43. First Carnethy home was Craig Mattocks in 1:51:11, with Andrew Gilmore 1:52, Steven Fallon 1:55 and Bob Johnson 1:59 all getting in under 2 hours (Bob wins his bet!). Alex McVey and Simon Titmuss narrowly missed 2 hrs dead. Iain Gilmore got 2:06, Jim Hardie 2:11, Bruce Smith 2:15, Ali Black 2:25, Joel Sylvester 2:32, Joan Wilson 2:37, Jim McWhinnie 2:41, Neil Campbell 2:42 and I heard Bill Gould finished but his name isn’t in the results.
